Functional Medicine Lab Tests

The NUNM Laboratory offers a wide range of functional medicine specialty tests through partnerships with trusted diagnostic laboratories. These tests can provide more detailed information about your health than routine lab work alone. Depending on your provider’s recommendations, specialty testing may help evaluate hormone balance, digestive health, nutrition, inflammation, immune function, environmental exposures, and other factors that affect overall wellness.

A physician’s order is required for all specialty testing. If your healthcare provider has already ordered a test, you can schedule your specimen collection with the NUNM Laboratory. If you do not have an order, you can make an appointment with a provider at NUNM Health Centers to discuss your symptoms and determine whether specialty testing may be right for you.

Our laboratory team is here to make the testing process simple, convenient, and easy to understand.

Understanding Your Results

The NUNM Laboratory collects and processes specimens but does not provide medical interpretation of test results. Once your results are available, you should schedule a follow-up appointment with the healthcare provider who ordered your testing. They will review your results, answer your questions, and discuss any recommended next steps.
